Roll In the Weekend in Fort Walton Beach

There’s a new trend in Fort Walton Beach and it sure beats the usual Saturday night dinner and a movie. Make your way to Ferry Road for action, speed, and dolls on wheels. I’m talking about the Beach Brawl Sk8R Dolls (BBSD) of Fort Walton Beach.

The BBSD is the first-ever women’s flat track roller derby league in Fort Walton Beach. The team was developed in 2008 by a group of disciplined athletes, strong in mind and in body. Their dedication to advancing this sport and helping the community has allowed them to grow into one of the most respected teams in North West Florida.

The BBSD puts on an exciting show. They play the game with heart and big hearts they have! As a charitable organization they have donated proceeds to Children in Crisis, Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, and Shelter House. This year the BBSD has partnered up with the Boys & Girls Club of America, regularly volunteering their time to after school programs.

How do you see these Dolls in action and donate to a good cause? Visit http://www.beachbrawlsk8rdolls.com for show times and ticket purchase. Advance ticket purchase is available on website for $10 or $12 at the door. Children 10 years and under are free with paying adult.
